Iron Arch Technology, a Veteran-Owned Small Business consulting firm, has a new opportunity for a Talent Manager to work in our Tysons, VA office.

Role

We are looking for a HR / Talent Manager to join IronArch Technology to create and lead the HR program for our growing consultancy. The TM will drive the full lifecycle of talent acquisition for the firm, play a pivotal role in contributing to the strengthening of our corporate culture, handle employee relations and administer our benefits program and take on other responsibilities as we grow. The right individual will not only be hungry for challenge and growth, but also care deeply about culture, be energized and creative to work through challenges, and be excited at the thought of joining our team.

 

The key areas of responsibility include:

 
General HR - Develops an understanding of business operations and objectives to assure HR priorities and activities are strategically aligned with the needs of the company. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed. This is an administrative role, not a recruiting role.
 
  • Employee Relations - Guides managers in employee relations topics, providing them with resources to coach, problem-solve, and lead. Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Benefits - Facilitating the open enrollment process utilizing all resources to maximize understanding of offerings and automation of processes (consults with broker and TPAs to assure processes are streamlined and efficient). Refers employees to benefit assistance resource with questions regarding billing, services, and coverage.
  • Payroll - Facilitates the processing of payroll with Third Party Administrator (TPA), working with managers, TPA, and employees to assure efficiency and accuracy of process
  • HRIS and ATS – Assures that HRIS and ATS capabilities are maximized and utilized for efficiency in all human capital functions
  • Onboarding - Facilitates automated onboarding process, continually focusing on successful integration of new employees
  • Compliance - Assures compliance with existing employment laws and regulations while continually educating self as to employment trends and best practices. Maintains annual reviews of all documents to assure compliance. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

Qualifications / Requirements

 
  • 5 + years of professional related experience
  • Experience working in the Federal / DoD arena highly desirable!!
  • Experience in HR, training, benefits, culture, employee relations and talent acquisition (preferably with government contracting and positions requiring basic clearances)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to quickly understand the software we use for recruiting, onboarding, and project management
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
  • A passion for teamwork, collaboration, and challenge
  • Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate written and verbal messages in a concise, professional manner
  • Ability to be proactive and self-direct when problem-solving
  • Ability to meet deadlines with effective results and work on a variety of projects at one time
  • High energy level, enthusiastic (or positive attitude) with strong sense of commitment and pride for work
